Exchange of Expertise – Unite Generations For CHANGE! Third Cycle
Locally registered non-profit organization that aim to spread principles of good citizenry,
Democracy and good governance among youth
With funding provided by Heinrich Böll Stiftung - Palestine/Jordan Office (HBS);
Shiam invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing
Specialized Training and Coaching Services for Enhancing Expertise and knowledge Exchange between Young and Elder Professionals

Project Goal
In 2019 and 2020, Shiam has piloted Knowledge Exchange - Unite Generations for a Change initiative, where the project brought retired businessmen and businesswomen who are members of the Forum of Expertise together with Youth Local Council (YLC) members and youth who volunteer in their local communities in order to enhance the transfer of knowledge, create a dialogue between the two generations, enrich volunteerism, good citizenry, strengthen the capacity and expertise of the youth councils in specific and youth in general and equip them to positively and fully engage in their communities. With the success of the two pilots, Shiam is excited to commence on expanding the initiative in 2021 to include new training topics and new activities that could be implemented by the youth and elder participants.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the general direction of Shiam and its partners, the consultant is required but not limited to undertaking the following:
- Prepare training material (Arabic);
- Conduct the training;
- Design and implement two panel discussions.
- Deliver lessons learnt workshop
- Follow-up on the implementation of 5 small local community initiatives
- Reporting
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in designing and implementing similar trainings.
- Minimum B.A. degree in Social studies or Business Administration or in other relevant discipline.
- Expertise in using practical and theoretical approaches in training delivery.
- Excellent command of English & Arabic.
- Expertise and Ability to work with People youth and senior citizens.
Expected Duration of Assignment is June 2021 – September 2021
