Background

NHCCIA has an outstanding belief that development comes through various levels of empowerment and capacity building of not only its staff, members, but also for the entire Palestinian community. Therefore, the chamber thrives itself to become a reference for the PS and other local and international organizations in the field of capacity building and the empowerment of youth and women. NHCCIA, through its novel and purposeful, and market driven activities is becoming more popular than ever; especially through the unlimited support the chamber provides for its members through building the capacity its employees from one hand and providing them with labors in different fields from another. The chamber realizes the need of more vocational and technical manpower in the private sector, and that wouldn’t be achievable without excellent youth who have the right expertise in leading the local economy. Our members henceforth will be able to take the economic level into a new horizon, improve their skills and compete on local, regional and international levels.

NHCCIA is working in partnership with its members in order to benefit the Palestinian community by finding job opportunities or funding resources for youth in need; especially the marginalized youth from area C and other less fortunate. Based on analysis was done by NHCCI, Jewelry making, and design is one of the most promising sectors in Hebron Governorate in regard to employment, market demand and development. This sector consists of multiple companies and factories working on designing and making jewelry products based on the needs of the market, although the companies are expanding and their experience is increasing, there is still a problem represented in the lack of well trained, educated and experienced craftsman in the field of jewelry making and design. For this the NHCCI in cooperation with private sector designed a jewelry making and design training to reflect the need for bringing new expertise, new generation and new way of thinking to keep the wheels going and ensure creativity and continuity for longer period.
