MA’AN in partnership with OXFAM started the implementation of SIDA funded program titled “Developing Equitable Agricultural Production and Market Systems for Resilient Economic Development in the occupied Palestinian Territory”.

The overall objective of this program is to contribute to resilient and equitable agricultural growth from which small scale women and men producers will benefit in the oPt. The specific objective is to increase the wellbeing and income of women and men engaged in small-scale agriculture in vulnerable communities through improved agricultural and market systems in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

MA’AN is seeking a qualified consultant firm to facilitate two days’ consultation meetings with national stakeholders to address the role of PFI and PFIU to protect the Palestinian national industries against dumping and unfair competition, and to agree on clear strategies and operational procedures on how to manage for handling this role effectively  with proven experience in the field of the sought assignment. Interested consultants should present a set of qualifications and technical background that suit the scope of the assignment.  MA’AN expects the consultancy firm to have a composition of legal and strategic planning expertise.

• The expected key qualifications of the legal expert/ consultant are as follow:

• A high Academic Degree in law.
• At least 5 years of experience practicing law professions in the Gaza Strip.
• Proven experience in laws that are related to the protection of national products.
• It is an advantage to have credible publishments/studies in laws of protection the national products.
• The expected key qualifications of the strategic planning consultant are as follow:
• A high degree in strategic planning, business development or any related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience working on organisational capacity assessment and drafting capacity building plans.
