Local Expert on Inclusive and Special Needs Education

Background:

The FCA Country Office in IOPTs is actively involved in projects aimed at building teacher capacity in
Palestinian schools, specifically focusing on learning difficulties, disabilities, and slow learning. By working
with local and Finnish experts, FCA has already laid a foundation for inclusive education by training
teachers to better address these challenges. Building upon this foundation, the next phase of the project
will focus on engaging directly with students through a diagnostic phase, which aims to deepen teachers'
understanding of student diversity and individual learning needs. The initiative aims to foster a
comprehensive framework that integrates best practices in inclusive education while ensuring that the
educational interventions are relevant and applicable to the local context of Palestinian schools.

2- Objective
To improve teachers' capacity in addressing learning difficulties, learning disabilities, and slow learning by
providing actionable methods and practical strategies, while also introducing additional training in schools
where training has already begun

3- Duration
• April 2025-December 2025

4-  Duty Station
The duty station for this post is the West Bank, Occupied Palestinian Territories. The candidate should be
able to travel in person to schools across the West Bank and, preferably, to East Jerusalem. Additionally,
some training sessions will be conducted online for facilitators in Gaza, and in-person training may be
delivered to staff based in Ramallah.

The  budget is 15000 EUR

Deadline for submission of offers is 15.03.2025, 16:00 PM, Jerusalem time zone.
