Within its initiative aiming at enhancing the quality and competitiveness of local products, the Center for Continuing Education (CCE) at Birzeit University is seeking a qualified firm for conducting a market research as per the following details:
- Research segment: a non-eatable fast-moving commodity
- Research questions: consumer behavior, quality attributes, market size and share, competition
- Research geography: the West Bank
- Research components:
- Household survey
- Retail survey
- Market testing of the commodity with end users
- Research deliverables and milestones:
- Literature review including full findings of the PCBS relevant surveys
- Sample size and sampling methodology for the households and retail components
- Research tools for the households and retail components
- Selection and training of the data collectors for the households and retail components
- Data collection through in-person interviews with respondents (phone, online, and street interviews are not considered; the research should rely on households and POS visits). All ready questionnaires should be provided to CCE for verification and quality control.
- Data control through verification calls and visits. Data quality report.
- Data entry, cleaning, and analysis
- Draft and final research reports
- Market testing methodology
- Implementation of the market testing component according to the methodology developed and agreed upon
- Photos, videos, and report on the market testing component
- Timeframe: October – December 2024. All final reports and other final deliverables should be submitted before December 12, 2024.
- Eligibility: a locally registered firm with at least 5 years of proven experience in market research for local private companies in the FMG segment, with a valid Source of Deduction.
- How to apply: Interested firms are invited to submit their price offers with a total cost inclusive of the time, effort, materials, transportation, communication, tax, and any other relevant expenses. The price offers should include (i) a profile with previous similar experience; (ii) a Letter of Interest indicating a total price in USD and estimated sample sizes for the household and retail surveys and market testing; (iii) a valid Source of Deduction; and (iv) CVs of key experts.
