About PITA:

The Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA) represents more than 180 major ICT companies in Palestine’s emerging technology and startup ecosystem, making PITA the driving force in advancing the ICT sector’s interests and the leading information source about this sector in Palestine. PITA was founded in 1999 by a group of Palestinian entrepreneurs with the vision of creating a non-profit organization to advance the interests and positive societal impact of Palestine’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. A new generation of forward-thinking entrepreneurs with a heritage that takes them back thousands of years in history is bringing together profound change to the technology and startup landscape.

Overview of the project:

The primary goal of “The Innovative Citizen Participation” project is to support the 12 Palestinian municipalities and 4 youth cooperatives implement an inclusive, innovative, and citizen-centered digital transformation by leveraging opportunities for citizen engagement and member problem-solving. Through the development and piloting of 40 digital participation formats & services designed with citizens.

This objective shall be achieved by enabling selected professionals from the municipalities & youth cooperatives to implement human-centered design (HCD) principles and approaches in their assessment of the capabilities/ needs of their municipalities & cooperatives, and identifying challenges that need be resolved in regards to citizen participation. The identified issues and/or challenges will be addressed by PITA, by developing inclusive digital solutions to support municipality & youth cooperatives’ services and public participation formats, by utilizing existing GIS capabilities in the country.

Objective and Scope of the Assignment:

Objective – to inform the public about the newly developed digital solutions at each of the selected locations and create visual identity, content, and use of different channels to support communication and visibility for the main activities of the project.

Scope of Work: The media agency is expected to provide the following key services:

Design materials and content for roll-up, banners, social media posts, and visual brand elements per GIZ branding guidelines.

Create persuasive social media content (audio, visual, text, video) as per the requirement of the project for promotion purposes through PITA’s and the project’s social media platforms (FB, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc), emails, and relevant business and local networks.

Identify effective channels and best practices to communicate with and reach a larger target audience.

Planning and executing Media and Social Media campaigns

Capturing high-quality photos and videos shots for the project for documentation and promotional purposes.

Creating content in Arabic and English as needed.

All designs, content and campaigns must follow the Human Centric Design approach (HCD)

All the activities should be consulted with the concerned person/department of PITA before finalizing.

Providing PITA with all needed reports and numbers.

General Qualifications

A diversified and skilled team of media experts, and experts in the subject matter.

At least 5 years of experience in managing, and executing advocacy and communication campaigns.

Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snap Chat, Instagram).

University qualification in the field of marketing, graphic design, video production, or any other related field.

Excellent business language skills in English /Arabic.

Experience in executing campaigns related to digital transformation, municipal digital services, etc. is an advantage.
