Working title: Multi-channel Awareness Raising Campaign – START YOUR BUSINESS porject

1. BACKGROUND INFORMATION

ActionAid Palestine (AAP), through funding from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and in cooperation with ActionAid Italy and Volontariato Internazionale Per Lo Sviluppo (VIS), is implementing a three-year project entitled: “START YOUR BUSINESS” Project in Hebron and Bethlehem governorates.

The overall objective for this project is to “Contribute to durable, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full employment and decent work for all (SDG 8) in Palestine with a particular focus on the socio-economic development of disadvantaged youth and vulnerable women.”

1. PURPOSE & RATIOANALE

ActionAid is now considering the selection of a professional and qualified expert consultant/ firm to be responsible for the overall awareness raising campaigning to challenge the discrimination of Palestinian young women in regard to their right to their access to equal, safe and reliable digital network that aims at enhancing their education, communication and job opportunities using the digital skills and digital platforms are the most used approach globally.  The assignment also looks into raising the awareness young people in general, and specifically young women on the importance of initiating and leading social business in the context of Palestine. The consulting body (individual or a company) is required to find the commonality between the promotion of digital rights for women and the social business significance for better education, participation in social solutions and advancement of young women’s economic, social and digital rights. 

1. DURATION OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The campaign shall be conducted between August 2022 to October 2022. Specific level of effort for the consultant will be based on the agreed workplan that will be finalized with the contract.

1. QUALIFICATIONS OF CONSULTANT

• At least a bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, marketing or any relevant fields. A master’s degree is a plus.
• A well-rounded sufficient team of experts to include client servicing, graphic and multimedia designers, community managers, copywriters, social care agents, and advertising.
• Professional experienced in designing similar consultancies, social media management and planning and various campaign building.
• Proven experience organizing and managing large scale public event.
• At least five years practical experience in supervising, leading and managing campaigns and workshops.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Wide relationships with private sector.

1. APPLICATION PROCESS

 Consultants that meet the requirements should submit expression of interest, which should include the following:

1. Cover letter including the consultant’s suitability for the assignment and current contact information
2. Curriculum Vitae with relevant consultancy experience as stated in the QUALIFICATION section.
3. At least 2 recommendation letters from former clients that testify the applicant/s experience and performance in conducting mentorship activities.
4. Include 1-2 samples of previous mentorship work
5. Technical offer: respond to the call for consultancy TOR, showing the consultant/s understanding of the assignment and how this can be taken forward.
6. Financial offer: detailed budget breakdown based on expected daily rates in USD and initial work plan.

Prerequisites for accepting Consultants Financial offer:

• Prices must be VAT exempted. Otherwise 5% income tax deduction from the total cost for local individuals who are not registered at official quarters.
• Prices must be in US Dollars valid for 30 days from the closing date of proposal submission.
• Prices must include all expenses related to this consultancy e.g. travel, stationary, per diems…etc
• Official registered applicants must submit a valid deduction from source certificate along with the offer.

All offers must be submitted in a sealed and stamped envelopes no later than Saturday the 6th of August 2022 to ActionAid Palestine office in As Salam St. Hebron.
