Production Services - Educational Radio Series for Children

The “Youm Jadeed” project, funded by Education Above All Foundation and implemented by Lapis Group, is seeking proposals from qualified production companies or consultants to produce 90 radio episodes for the Youm Jadeed Project. 

About Youm Jadeed: 

Youm Jadeed is an innovative initiative that aims to address the educational gap and psychosocial challenges faced by children in Palestine. By leveraging storytelling over radio and digital platforms, the project combines creative educational content with practical solutions to provide learning opportunities and emotional support to vulnerable children and their caretakers.  

The project is designed for children aged 7 to 12 in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip in particular. The episodes will be drama based and designed to channel educational content, and psychosocial messaging through an engaging and entertaining story-based format.  

Scope of Work: 

Lapis Group is developing scripts for 90 radio episodes, each lasting 30 minutes to be broadcast on FM radio, online streaming and made available through podcast platforms as well as a dedicated website with additional supplementary material.  

Each episode will feature a maximum of 4 characters who will engage in dialogue and narrate stories. Original music is sought for the opening as well as intervals. 

“Youm Jadeed” is seeking proposals from qualified production companies or consultants to produce 90 radio episodes for the Youm Jadeed Project and contributing to some or all of the three phases of Pre-production, Production, and Post-Production. 

The duration of the Youm Jadeed project starts from December 2024 until May 2025. 

Proposal Requirements 
Interested service providers should include the following in their proposals: 

Company Profile or CV: Details of previous experience in audio production, particularly in educational or media projects.

Technical Approach: briefly outline your approach to each phase (pre-production, production, post-production).

Team Composition: Key personnel and their roles in delivering the services.

Budget: Detailed breakdown of costs for each phase of the production process, the proposed total cost must not exceed 95,000$. Proposals with costs exceeding this ceiling price will not be considered.

Timeline: Proposed schedule aligned with the project’s timeframe and assuming initial airing on February 1st 2024.
