PROJECT MID-TERM REVIEW

Action Against Hunger (AAH) has been working in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) since 2002, aiming to reduce vulnerabilities and respond to humanitarian needs; in addition to protecting and strengthening the resilience of Palestinian communities.

This mid-term review is part of Action Against Hunger contractual obligations within the frame of project entitled “Resilience and Economic Growth in Gaza Strip in the Agricultural Sector 2020-2023” and funded by the European Union and Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation. As part of project evaluations planned for this grant, internal Mid-term review after 18 months of the project implementation should be conducted using a learning approach, as a crucial step to document learning from what has been implemented and to feed into the upcoming remaining 18 months which will allow the consortium members (technical and MEAL committees) to improve different tools and processes based on the findings of this review and to bring up practical recommendations that can be further integrated into its activities.  

Action Against Hunger – Palestinian Territory (Gaza Strip) intends to award an external consultant to conduct a project mid-term review to analyse and revise the current project progress from staff/BNFs perspectives to provide practical learning to the project processes (using mix-method approach), in order to sustain the economic tissue of the Gaza Strip by helping farmers and producers maintain, develop, and diversify their sources of income, while coping with the volatile and difficult challenges that the private sector must face. where the project is specifically aiming to consolidate the productive activities in Gaza by shifting towards a market approach and sustainable employment opportunities.

*Eligible consultants must have knowledge in agriculture, livelihoods, small medium enterprises, food security, social enterprises, and economy, and a significant field experience in the evaluation and learnings approaches of humanitarian / development projects.The consultant should have a valid career license and to be able to provide a VAT invoice.
