MA’AN is an independent Palestinian development and training institution established in January, 1989, registered by law as a non-profit organization. The main office is located in Ramallah and the other branch offices are located in Gaza, and Jenin. MA’AN's work is informed by the necessity of creating independent, self-reliant initiatives that lead to the development of human resources for sustainable development, which incorporate values of self-sufficiency and self-empowerment.

MA’AN in partnership with UNDP/PAPP is working on the implementation of the internship opportunities of Al Fakhoora scholarship and empowerment Programme alumni. Al Fakhoora scholarship and empowerment Programme is multi-faceted, with four main inter-related components all working towards the overall vision; quality education, student affairs; leadership development and economic empowerment. The economic empowerment component aims to bridge educational opportunities to success in professional life through career preparation, internships and networking. The expected outcome is to have the educational opportunities for targeted youth effectively linked to economic productivity of students’ families. MA’AN team provided efforts to standardize the project activities, this included providing a slandered toolkit for the internship modality and preparing a standardized employability training toolkit.

MA’AN is seeking the services of a professional system analyst to develop the User Requirement Specification (SRS) for the online portal of the project. This will help the project management to understand what the developed system should specifically look like. The developed SRS should be conducted through meetings and discussions with the key stakeholders and targeted beneficiaries. 

After finalizing the primary draft of User Requirement Specification (SRS) through vetting with the users, the System Analyst will prepare the Software Design Document in consultation with the Project team. Specifically, the System Analyst will do the following:

• producing specifications for new system
• Gathering business requirement and Prepare SRS, SRS will contain
• Process diagram
• User stories
• Use cases
• ER Diagram
• Functional & Non-Functional Requirements

MA’AN seeks a qualified consultancy firm with proven experience in the field of the sought consultancy.

The consultants should have the following qualifications:

• Planning and organization: Ability to identify priority activities and assignments, allocation of appropriate amount of time and resources for completing the work.
• Professionalism: Strong expertise in hardware, software and programming, system analysis, requirements engineering and SRS techniques with good analytical skills and ability to solve problems. Preference will be given for those who previously developed SRS document for several systems of various sizes before. 
• Language: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• User Orientation: ability to understand user needs in order to provide user-friendly and ergonomic solutions that effectively meet user requirements. 
• Curiosity and open-mindedness: ability to ask questions to clarify, and exhibit interest in having two-way communication; demonstrate openness in sharing information. 
• Teamwork: ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the assignment’s goals and outcomes.
