Providing Technical Coaching Services for Small Scale Income Generation Projects

MA’AN, in partnership with DCA-NCA, is currently implementing the project " Strengthened Food Security and Resilience in Protracted Humanitarian Crisis" which aims at improving resilience, alleviate suffering and enhance preparedness mechanisms of the most vulnerable people in the Gaza Strip including people with special needs. The project will target 269 vulnerable families living in Gaza Strip with proven needs for food by fresh food vouchers and cash for food activity; Also MAAN will target 50 vulnerable families with home urban gardening activity; and will target 21 vulnerable families with income generating activities depend on urban gardening home units.

As part of this project, MA'AN will undertake a set of activities that aim at supporting 21 of pioneers’ families whom had home urban gardening unit to upgrade their units and start their income generating activities depend on urban gardening home units.

MA'AN is looking for a qualified consultant firm to deliver technical coaching on business management for 21 vulnerable households who will receive seed fund to upgrade their home urban gardening units to start their income generating activities which depend on urban gardening home units in Gaza strip. 

The targeted households suffer from difficult socio-economic conditions in addition to food insecurity and protection concerns that undermine their safety and security. However, the targeted households have potential technical capacity and high willingness to start their income generating activities for the purpose of enhancing their protection and resilience. A socio-economic assessment and livelihood mapping were conducted to select the eligible households for this intervention. 

The consultancy is expected to enhance the knowledge, skills and practices of the targeted households in terms of their ability to generate/advance feasible and innovative business ideas; establish income generating activities; and manage the income generating activities (marketing, sales, financial management, etc..).

The consultancy firm’s, should have the following qualifications: 

• Academic qualification in business administration, business planning, economy or any relevant field. Master's degree and above is a credit. 
• At least 3 years of experience in conducting training on business planning and managing small enterprises, especially for women. 
• Demonstrated experience in providing coaching for small-scale businesses.  
• Demonstrated experience in developing business plans for start-ups and existing small-scale businesses in the Gaza Strip.  
• Very good reporting, writing, and communication skills, with specific reference to analytical reports and studies. 
• Ability to develop concrete methodology and timeframe for delivering the required consultancy service within the specified duration.
