Research on the Social Perceptions and Imaginaries of Women´s Organizations in Hebron

The Palestinian Information Technologies Association (PITA) in partnership with the Fundación Alianza por los Derechos, la Igualdad y la Solidaridad Internacional member of Action Aid (ApS) will implement a project titled “Women and Youth Transforming Local Public Services in Hebron”, under the thematic programme “Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) as Actors of Governance and Development Work in the Field”, funded by the European Commission and Balearic Government (GOIB). 

Goal of this contract: The purpose of this consultancy work is to conduct a depth study to get more understanding on the social perceptions and the social imaginaries about women´s organizations and women´s right activists in Hebron, drawing out recommendations, and producing audio-visual material to improve the social perception about women rights.

This consultancy has main objectives:

Conduct research for the purpose of getting more understanding to determine the social perception and the social imaginary about women´s organizations and women´s right activists in Hebron, and getting in depth analysis of the challenges and resistance that people have against these entities and about women rights and gender norms associated with these perceptions, Conduct a mapping about actors, initiatives and advocacy campaigns already in place in Hebron to promote the social acceptance of women organizations and women rights, Draft strategic recommendations for programming and advocacy and lobbying to improve social perception and increase community support to these organizations, and work on Produce of one animation audio-visual material related to promoting the improving the social perception and imaginaries regarding the role of the women’s organizations alongside increasing the community support for these organizations. 

Location: Palestine - Hebron City

Duration of this contract: 40 days starting in the months of July – August 2022.
