“Social Media Management”

Reference Code: APLA/CFP-2024-01

Overview:

Established in 1997, The Association of Palestinian Local Authorities – APLA is an independent institution that brings together all Local Government Units – LGUs across Palestine. APLA’s core mission is to represent the collective interests of LGUs, enhance their capacities through strategic advocacy and lobbying, and promote the exchange of information and best practices. APLA further serves as a channel of dialogue between the central government and LGUs, advocates for the rights of LGUs, and represents them at national, regional, and international levels, with a view to enabling them to improve the quality of services provided to Palestinian citizens.

Social media management is crucial to APLA’s mission and goals as it enables the organization to maintain a robust online presence, engage effectively with its audience, and amplify its advocacy efforts. APLA’s social media platforms—ranging from its website to its Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube channels—are key tools for disseminating information, fostering community among members, and reaching international partners and stakeholders. Through strategic social media management, APLA can ensure that its message is consistent, impactful, and widely accessible, thereby supporting its broader objective of enhancing the capacities of LGUs and advocating for their rights on a global stage.
