Statistical Analysis

The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM)  

The Center for Mind-Body Medicine (CMBM) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to reviving the spirit and transforming the practice of medicine, CMBM Palestine was established in 2005. CMBM model combines the precision of modern science with the wisdom of the world’s healing traditions, to help health professionals heal themselves, their patients and clients, and their communities. Concerned with healing the wounds of war, its work is to train professionals, community leaders, teachers, and other services providers, health care professionals, and educators to teach children and adults self-care techniques and self-awareness that enable them to relieve psychological pressure and suffering and heal wounds and trauma.

Statement of Work

2.1 Purpose:

The main purpose of this offer is to conduct statistical analysis for pre & post-questionnaires for the beneficiaries whose houses were destroyed in the Gaza 2021 Escalation within the project of Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support Intervention Provider for the House Reconstruction in Gaza Phase II, which is implemented in partnerships between CMBM & UNOPS.

2.2 Scope of Work:

CMBM seeks to contract with a statistical analysis consultant

Deliverables:

The consultant is expected to provide CMBM with a full descriptive report with tables and graphs after analyzing the attached data according to the dimensions of the questionnaires considering the factors (gender, age group, governorate) to show the impact of the activities provided to the target group, and to highlight the differences between the pre-and post-measurement.

The questionnaires used as follows:

  • CPSS-5 scale to measure the level of Post-traumatic Stress Symptoms.
  • PSC (Pediatric Symptoms Checklist) to measure attention, internalizing, and externalizing symptoms.
  • PCL-5 scale to measure the level of Post-traumatic Stress Symptoms.
  • DASS-21 scale to measure the level of depression, anxiety, and stress.
  • Brief Resiliency Scale.

Time Frame:

The assignment should be started on 10th Oct 2022 and end on 15 November 2022. 

Language: 

Reporting shall be in English and Arabic.

Reporting:

The consultant will submit the following reports:

  1. Full descriptive report with tables and graphs, like a research article. 
  2. Final report in the English & Arabic language; final report shall be approved by CMBM. 

 

Profile of the consultant:

This call is open for applicants from Gaza Strip, for individual consultants or companies

 Minimum qualification required:

  • A Master’s degree in Statistics/Economics/Social Science or any related field
  • SPSS professional is preferable
  • Proven 5 years of proven experience in statistical analysis/ in the mental health field is preferred with INGOs/NGOs
  • Expert-level knowledge in handling similar assignments.
  • Proven experience in statistical analysis tools and dimensions tools.
  • Companies or individuals could submit for this offer
  • At least one example of similar assignments that you have undertaken, preferably in the research field 
  • Two relevant references.

Notes: 

  • All the requested data from questionnaires entered in Excel sheets.
  • CMBM will provide clarifications about: Scales' Likert, dimensions, levels, reversed items … etc
  • the technical offer should be separated from the financial offer  and submitted in the office.

The deadline for submission is on Monday 10/10/2022 at 12pm. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
