SUPPORT INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES

Action Against Hunger (AAH) has been working in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) since 2002, aiming to reduce vulnerabilities and respond to humanitarian needs; in addition to protecting and strengthening the resilience of Palestinian communities.

In Gaza, over the past 5 years, Action Against Hunger has implemented targeted projects that empower women and men economically allowing them to develop and reactivate a sustainable work opportunity and source of income. As a result, AAH has supported approximately 500 Income Generation Activities (IGAs) in the agri-food and non-agri-food sectors and 3 food production units. The support/activities include training, coaching, financial and post-training support, and are integrated into the AAH strategy which links between nutrition, food security, and water and sanitation. 

Action Against Hunger – Palestinian Territory (Gaza Strip) intends to award an external consultant to support in improving the livelihoods of women and youth whose income is based on micro-enterprise development within the agricultural sector, through building their capacities, enhancing their chances to access to market, where the project is specifically aiming to consolidate the productive activities in Gaza by shifting towards a market approach and sustainable employment opportunities.

*Eligible consultants must have a Bachelor degree in business administration, Economics, Agri-business or a relevant field. At least 7 years of directly proven experience in developing start-up businesses and working with micro/small business (Entrepreneurs/ MSMEs) mainly Women and Youth on, marketing, business planning, business coaching pricing analysis, and economic empowerment.  At least 5 years’ experience in Agriculture, Agri-business sector, and food processing in Palestine.  The consultant should have a valid career license and to be able to provide a VAT invoice.

Action Against Hunger does not bind itself to award the bid to the lowest bid or any bid and reserves the right to accept the whole or part of the bid.

The winning service provider should pay the advertisement fees in the newspaper and on the website.
